Training tips

We can’t recommend Lauren and Amy highly enough. We adopted an energetic young Catahoula from the Humane Society in October 2019 and called Happy Hounds by November. Scarlett is bigger, stronger and way more excitable than any other dog my husband and I had previously had in our families. We needed trainers who would guide us in controlling and calming our fur baby in a friendly, positive and respectful manner, especially since we don’t know Scarlett’s history and needed to be mindful of any traumas she may be carrying. After six sessions, friends and family can’t believe she is the same dog. She has learned how to greet people politely without jumping or mouthing, how to ignore other dogs when we are on walks and has overall improved her doggy manners. We can now enjoy sitting outside a restaurant with her without worrying about her behavior, and she is much calmer and happier in those types of environments than she was before. Scarlett ADORES Lauren and Amy and is so excited whenever she gets to see them. As an added bonus, Scarlett has made great friends with their dog Rylee!
