At Happy Hounds And Beyond, we find that the most effective and reliable results are achieved in the comfort of your home. We start by getting to know you, your family and your specific goals for your dog. Followed by a training plan that is customized, practical, family friendly and goal oriented. We offer training with the flexibility of easy payment options. Breathe in the joy of knowing you’re on the right track with your dog!
Things To Know:
During this one & a half hour virtual introductory session we will review your dog’s behavior, lifestyle, history and discuss your goals for them. We will introduce 1-3 cues and review 1-3 problem behaviors with step by step instructions and real time practice. With our guidance, expect to feel relief from any pesky problem behaviors and begin to enjoy living with your dog again. Options for moving forward with us will be reviewed at this time.

Middle Ground Walks are for the dogs who want to do well… but their nervous system gets there first.
The dogs who bark, lunge, freeze, spin, panic, overreact, or completely fall apart the second the world feels too big. The dogs carrying stress, fear, frustration, overexcitement, or insecurity in their bodies every single walk.
And these walks are for the humans, too.
The ones trying so hard. The ones avoiding all types of social experiences, neighborhoods, walking at weird hours, gripping the leash the whole time, or wondering if walks will ever feel enjoyable again.
The goal here is not perfection. It’s not forced socialization. It’s not “making your dog behave.”
We focus on helping dogs build real security in the world while helping owners build confidence, handling skills, observation skills, timing, and the ability to actually understand what their dog is communicating before things explode.
Because confident dogs are usually built through safe experiences, clarity, trust, and repetition — not pressure and survival mode.
This probably won’t be your thing if you’re looking for a quick fix or expecting your dog to magically become a brewery dog overnight. These walks are intentionally structured to create success, not chaos.
For dogs I haven’t worked with before, we start with a required one-time 30-minute assessment ($50). We’ll work hands-on using my dog and a dummy dog setup while I coach you through practical skills, management, and recommendations you can immediately start applying — whether or not you continue afterward.
Middle Ground Walks themselves are offered at a low participation fee to help keep the groups structured, intentional, and manageable for everyone involved.

Lauren and Amy have been working with us and our Great Dane pup, Cavalla, since she was 10 weeks old. With their incredible expertise and guidance Cavalla is blossoming into such a well-rounded and well-behaved member of our family! They’ve even helped our 4-year-old son gain confidence and knowledge in training our pup! We get so many compliments on how well she behaves at such a young age. We can only attribute it to the best trainers out there. Professional dog training is a must and Happy Hounds has the best of the best! Highly recommended!
